3/20/26 Three years ago, a very overweight dog came into our rescue. She was cute and young but severely obese and she struggled to move around. She also had ringworm, which is very contagious and can be difficult to deal with and treat. On top of that, our girl came out of a hoarding house. They would just pour food out and whoever got it, got it. Apparently, our girl Taffy got it as she was 40 pounds. She was skittish from her ordeal and did not really trust people. Many of the dogs were skittish and scared of people.
Taffy through extensive care, recovered from the ringworm and dropped her weight and was a normal happy healthy active 17 pound girl. It took some time but she learned to trust and found a loving family of her own. She was beautiful and fun. Unfortunately, Taffy suddenly got sick and was rushed into the vet. They felt she could not be saved and she crossed over the rainbow bridge. Such devastating news is so tough for us to hear and for her parents to go through – poor little Taffy was only 4 years of age. We want to thank her family for loving her these years and giving her a home. We are so very sorry for their loss of Taffy. With time, our hearts will heal and our memories with comfort us all. Rest in Peace Taffy.
