Adoption Application February 9, 2021 by caroline Step 1 of 5 - Household 0% Thank You For Your Interest In Adopting A Beagle Through Southern Nevada Beagle Rescue Foundation! Southern NV Beagle Rescue Foundation is a Nevada 501(c)(3) Nonprofit, no-kill and an all-volunteer organization dedicated to Beagle rescue. We provide rescue, education and referral services for Beagles from area shelters and Beagles from homes that can no longer keep their dog. We work with both purebred Beagles and Beagle mixes. Southern Nevada Beagle Rescue Foundation (SNBRF) does not have a shelter; all of our dogs are fostered in volunteer homes or kept in their current home until a new home is found. SNBRF adoption fees range from $100 to $600 depending on the age, health, and adoptability of the dog. The adoption fees help pay for the healthcare, spay/neuter, and vaccinations. The fee does not necessarily cover SNBRF's cost to prepare the dog ready for adoption. We rely on donations to cover the rest. Southern Nevada Beagle Rescue Foundation is not a source for Beagle puppies. Young healthy puppies are not usually turned into rescue. Most of our rescue dogs are 1 to 8 years old and desperate for a loving home to care for them forever. If you are interested in a puppy or if we do not find an immediate match for you from our available dogs, we can put you on our waiting list after we receive your completed application and have also completed your required home visit. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE A PUPPY FROM A PET SHOP; these dogs are bred in out-of-state puppy mills in horrific conditions, and they can have serious health problems. People who purchase puppies from pet shops and casual back-yard breeders support an industry that is interested only in profit, not the health or well being of the animals. If you are interested in adopting a Beagle, please fill out and submit the application below. Southern Nevada Beagle Rescue Foundation volunteers cannot answer detailed questions about currently available dogs until your application, and home visit has been completed and approved. The length of time from application through adoption can take up to 3-4 weeks. The more open you are to age, color, gender, physical condition and Beagle mixes, the greater the likelihood of us finding a match for you. We are an all-volunteer organization. Our priority is to bring needy Beagles into a foster home as quickly as possible and provide them the care they need. A handful of volunteers handle intake and fostering activities, as well as adoptions, home visits, website updates, voicemail and email checking, public outreach, fundraising, events and other critical administrative tasks. Our volunteers also have jobs, families, and pets of their own to tend to. We thank you for your patience and understanding. The adoption process will involve: Review of your application A home visit Approval of your application and home visit Discussion on which Beagle may be a good match for your family Adoption(The home visit is not to check for housekeeping but is meant to ensure that your home is compatible with a Beagle’s lifestyle. We will check for indoor living and sleeping arrangements, fencing, toilet and feeding arrangements, etc.)Name* First Last Address* Street Address Address Line 2 City AlabamaAlaskaArizonaArkansasCaliforniaColoradoConnecticutDelawareDistrict of ColumbiaFloridaGeorgiaHawaiiIdahoIllinoisIndianaIowaKansasKentuckyLouisianaMaineMarylandMassachusettsMichiganMinnesotaMississippiMissouriMontanaNebraskaNevadaNew HampshireNew JerseyNew MexicoNew YorkNorth CarolinaNorth DakotaOhioOklahomaOregonPennsylvaniaRhode IslandSouth CarolinaSouth DakotaTennesseeTexasUtahVermontVirginiaWashingtonWest VirginiaWisconsinWyomingArmed Forces AmericasArmed Forces EuropeArmed Forces Pacific State ZIP Code Email* Preferred Phone Number*Second Phone NumberYour Birth Year*We ask this for adoption age requirements.Type of Housing You Live In*Own Single Family DwellingOwn CondoOwn Mobile HomeRent Single Family DwellingRent CondoRent Mobile HomeLive With Parent Single Family DwellingLive With Parent CondoLive With Parent Mobile HomeOtherOther Housing*Landlord's Name* First Last Landlord's Phone Number*Parent's Name* First Last Parent's Phone Number*Years at Current Address*Less Than Two YearsTwo or More YearsPrevious Address* Street Address Address Line 2 City AlabamaAlaskaArizonaArkansasCaliforniaColoradoConnecticutDelawareDistrict of ColumbiaFloridaGeorgiaHawaiiIdahoIllinoisIndianaIowaKansasKentuckyLouisianaMaineMarylandMassachusettsMichiganMinnesotaMississippiMissouriMontanaNebraskaNevadaNew HampshireNew JerseyNew MexicoNew YorkNorth CarolinaNorth DakotaOhioOklahomaOregonPennsylvaniaRhode IslandSouth CarolinaSouth DakotaTennesseeTexasUtahVermontVirginiaWashingtonWest VirginiaWisconsinWyomingArmed Forces AmericasArmed Forces EuropeArmed Forces Pacific State ZIP Code How many people (in addition to you) live in the household where the new pet will live?*Please enter a number from 0 to 10.Others in Your Household*USE THE + BUTTON to add more lines. Las Vegas, NV 89123 (702) 493-9779 firstname.lastname@example.org www.southernnevadabeaglerescue.com Southern Nevada Beagle Rescue Email: email@example.com Cell: 702-493-9779 Fax: 702-269-4758 APPLICANT STATEMENTS By submitting your Adoption Application to adopt a Beagle, you are agreeing to the following: I understand that Southern Nevada Beagle Rescue Foundation cannot guarantee that a particular dog will be available at the time my application is processed. I will allow a Southern Nevada Beagle Rescue Foundation volunteer to visit my home. I understand these are volunteers, and we will both be flexible in finding a convenient date and time for my home visit. I will ensure that my entire family can be present, including all pets, as this is an important part of matching my home environment with a dog. I authorize Southern Nevada Beagle Rescue Foundation to contact my personal references listed above. If I currently or have recently owned a pet, I authorize Southern Nevada Beagle Rescue Foundation to contact my current or former veterinarian as a reference. If I am a renter, I can and will provide written documentation from my landlord and/or property management authority permitting me to adopt a Beagle. I am willing to drive to the dog’s location, to meet and possibly adopt this dog. I realize that the Beagles are in foster homes throughout Las Vegas and Henderson. Upon adopting a beagle, I will provide the requested adoption fee to Southern NV Beagle Rescue Foundation. Southern NV Beagle Rescue Foundation adoption fees range from $100 to $300, depending on the dogs age, health and other factors. I realize this is a donation that goes directly to saving more Beagles, and that Southern NV Beagle Rescue Foundation is a Nevada 501(c)(3) tax exempt, non-profit organization staffed solely by volunteers. I realize that I am applying to adopt a rescued beagle. I know that dogs need training, and I am willing to work with my new family member, to provide time, patience, training and attention he or she needs to be happy! I agree to provide Southern NV Beagle Rescue Foundation with follow-up reports. If I adopt or buy a dog elsewhere before Southern NV Beagle Rescue Foundation places a Beagle with me, I will email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 702-493-9779 so they can remove me from consideration. I realize there may be a wait for the kind of Beagle I would like most to adopt (most common: younger, purebred, housebroken, child-friendly, dog-friendly Beagles with no health condition). I realize that Southern NV Beagle Rescue Foundation goes by the date that applications are received in order of meetings and possible placements, taking into consideration the best possible home for each individual Beagle and their personalities when placing a Beagle. I understand that the Foster Parents of the Beagle I am interested in have a choice in this dog’s placement. If for any reason, the Foster Parent feels uncomfortable about a placement, they are to not release the dog and they are to contact email@example.com to discuss further. I understand no one knows the Beagle as well as the Foster Parents. I realize that by adopting a dog rather than purchasing from a breeder, I will have saved a dog’s life. I understand that rescued dogs form bonds to their families that are as strong, if not stronger, than that of dogs purchased as puppies. They have not had the chance to live the kind of life that I will be able to provide them. I look forward to bonding with my new Beagle, and taking care of him or her for the rest of his or her life. All the information I have provided on this application is, to the best of my knowledge, true and complete. I understand that falsifying answers on this application or at any other time during the adoption process disqualifies me from adoption.
