7/16/25 7 years ago, a hound made her way from Louisiana, where hounds are not valued but treated like trash, to our rescue where her life would be 
forever changed. Charley Jo was a beautiful foxhound. She was extremely thin when she came into rescue and she did find a home, but after a few years, she came back to us through no fault of her own, (the owner had medical) and she found an even more amazing home and has lived there for the last 4 years. Charley Jo was pampered and loved and that is all we wish for each and every one of our dogs. Unfortunately Charley Jo passed away in her sleep and has left a huge hole in her family’s heart. We are so sorry for their loss and thank you for giving her the love she most certainly deserved. Rest in peace Charley, until we meet again.
