6/17/25 Burt came to us at the end of January. He was neglected and needed care. Burt went through surgery just fine for neuter, dental, and mass removals. Burt was such a happy go lucky guy and was well liked. It only took Burt a little over two weeks to find his home. We do not know the life he lived before us but questioned it based on the neglect he received. In his new home Big Baby Burt was loved beyond our wildest dreams.
It was with heart wrenching loss, we found out he developed renal failure very quickly and crossed over the rainbow bridge. A little over 4 months is not what we hoped for. He had very little time in his forever home. However, we know the love definitely made this more quality over quantity. It seems so unfair when we do not have them long. We could have never predicted this. We are just glad that Burt did get a family that loved him so much. The pain is awful. We know. Every loss you have, we also feel. Burt was fostered at the rescue, so many of you got to know him. He always put a smile on everyone’s face. He was loud and boisterous. I am not happy for the life he had previously where his needs were not met, but I know he came to us for a reason. We are terribly sorry for her family’s loss. We thank them for all they did. We just wish they had longer. Rest in Peace Big Baby Burt..
