8/31/26 Three years ago, a very portly, happy boy came into our rescue. Sunbear was a big teddy bear of a dog — we even nicknamed him
“Hippo” because he loved nothing more than lounging in the pools.

Sunbear came to us from the South and had faced many medical challenges along the way. That never deterred his forever family. They happily adopted him and gave him a truly wonderful life. Later, they also adopted Belgium (now known as Winston). For the past three years, they doted on Sunbear and loved him deeply, and we could not be more thankful. He was doing great in his home until he unexpectedly became ill. Sunbear crossed the Rainbow Bridge surrounded by the love of his family. His canine sister and brother will miss him terribly.
Sunbear will always hold a special place in our hearts. We are so sorry for their loss and the pain the family is feeling right now. We hope the many beautiful memories they shared will bring them comfort in time. Rest in Peace Sunbear
