Rocky is a 13 year old boy who was dumped at the shelter when his owner’s health declined. We got him in for a dental and to evaluate some lumps. He ended up having 4 removed and a biopsy of his skin on the lips. Turns out he has Epitheliotropic Leukemia – a rare form of skin cancer. He is in foster care and we will do what we can for him. We are awaiting an oncology consultation but the wait is 4 months – more than half of life expectancy.
